  • you can deck it. they use special head gaskets for things like this all the time

  • Put a Nissan Leaf powertrain in there!

  • This is crazy to get to the engine you need to take off the whole habitacle

  • So what can you put in instead that makes sense?

  • You look Arabic

  • cant you weld extra material and resurface?

  • LS swap.

  • is that a supraaaaa

  • Based on the information of the two episodes, this is the scenario. The water pump failed, but the owner ran it hot for a while, warping the engine. The BMW dealership replaced the pump, and it still had overheating issues. So the dealership pulled the head to look at the gasket, and found the block irretrievably warped. The owner didn't want to or couldn't afford to replace the engine, so they put everything back, not bothering to even reseal the gasket, and offered it up for auction, so it would be someone else's problem. The dealership recommended replacing the engine, but otherwise wouldn't say anything about it.

  • What were Jew thinking

  • Just put a thick bead of gasket maker on there and reassemble. Easy.

  • Why are they treating that poor torque wrench as a breaker bar?

  • I knew a guy in England many years ago who made custom oversize gaskets (thickness) to accommodate heads and blocks that had been skimmed. He used a different type of gasget material and CNC cut them. Don't know if this would work on a super modern high performance car but they worked well enough on old classics if they were driven with some respect.

  • What outro song what that?

  • Skim it anyway thicker gasket

  • I don't understand, why you didn't perform the block test much earlier. That's one of the first tests I perform, when I suspect a blown head gasket.

  • you can you can apply heat to the cylinder head and press the cylinder head.i think there is a machine shop offer that service. apply heat and press it back to its original form.

  • Wasn’t Steven at psi Orlando? I would see him in Christians vids

  • WHAT DOES IT COST TO BUILD A NEW ENGINE FROM SPARE PARTS OF SOURCE OLD ENGINE FROM DUBAI SCRAP YARD

  • Yes children

  • Yep, a blown head gasket as I said some episodes ago. Had this on a Corsa which was 15 years old, so scrapped it.

  • Cracked cylinder wall is the first thing that popped in mind

  • I just couldn’t work on a vehicle with Sam anywhere near me. How do these mechanics put up with him. I suppose he pays them a double or triple rate.

  • just sell that head some one who do engine builds and know what to do in chain and rest piston rods

  • When it comes to 3 cylinder engines, i swear only by the mighty 1KR FE.

  • That sucks

  • 🤭🤭🤭🤭He said "SAMASSCRACK"!

  • Dobio borbeni asov raduje se ko ker u liftu

  • I'm thinking try a head shave and double up with gaskets to get your valve clearance and timing back? No?

  • Geeez! All that work. I would’ve charged a new engine too. Sheeeesh

  • Well they said it needs a new engine in the report but you didn’t listen

  • Why couldn’t you mill the head and use a thicker head gasket?

  • Damn that sucks, sorry. Hope you got another project that made up for this like damn.

  • I'm super impressed at how these YT providers allow me me to fast-forward thru the ads...

  • Sorry to be late to the party, hopefully not too late... I too was once facing a warped aluminum head in a Mercedes M103 motor, where the warp was such that resurfacing was not possible, when the brilliant techs at my machine shop said, "There's a fix for this, you have to take this to such-and-such welding and casting in Oakland, CA, and they have a kiln/press to actually straighten out the warp good as new. And they did, and it worked. For like $250. Went in with a big gap under the straightedge, went out completely true with no resurfacing required except on principle. How do I know these guys were good at what they do? Well... I walked into the shop unannounced, with no appointment or prior check in, with the head under my arm wrapped in a big towel with just the end peeking out, and at first glance the casting shop guy says, "Oh, hey, Mercedes M103 head... here to get it straightened?". Good eye. Let me know if you're interested in pursuing and I will look up who that vendor was, even if they're not in your area, you could ask them about the technique, since other shops more local to you maybe do same thing.

  • lil uzi vert on recorder at the end, so fire I think thats what really blew that engine

  • Been there done that on Subaru, same issue builds pressure and stops flow

  • Per chance it's hosed. Cheers!

  • Dumb question time. Why not go ahead and resurface the head and then put two or even 3 head gaskets on it to make up the different?

  • These videos are very like Tavarish.

  • 7:26 bahahaha the Doug reference, that was such a good impression

  • time to make it a GMW put a LS GM motor in it and roll

  • tells me during initial run in someone over did it in the first 500 miles

  • On the older Honda civics I had maybe 5 that I can remember that had very slight head gasket leaks. So small that the block test wouldn’t detect it. But it would have random seeming overheating events. Could be filled up with coolant and run for quite awhile but would be back eventually. Under just the right conditions small amounts of combustion gasses would create bubbles in the system. Requiring a headgasket to fix.

  • im just curious how do you consider a 3 cylinder a supercar? is it just because its a rear engine

  • RIP

  • Man I can't even tell you how many similarities I see between this car and my venerable Fieros. Too cool.

  • BMW dealers see many BMWs come in for repairs. After a few years, they know the common issues better than anyone. $160 inspection is usually worth it and then repair it yourself.

  • 🍕 is the most important meal of the day

  • Machine it anyway, then install a custom copper head gasket to the required thickness.

  • Wait, so the dealership that said it needed an engine was right?

  • That 3rd cylinder is pure evil! How was that not pointed out!?

  • F

  • All the high tech testing equipment but I dont see a compression test or a vacuum test being done. Those two tests alone will show up any top end problems.

  • WHY in the name of GOD...would anyone want a box of random shitty garbage posted to them ?

  • WaterGlass that shet and call it a day.

  • Did they just use a torque wrench as a breaker bar?

  • Someone explain to me how the timing would be retarded when the gear ratios don’t change....?

  • Yeahhhh mill it throw it back in.

  • I had this same issue on a 1000RR Honda, ended up replacing the whole top end, worth it because it only cost me about 400$ all together and some elbow grease.

  • Time for the RB swap

  • I absolutely love how the safety locks on the lift tick in time with the beat 🥰 I used to be a tire tech, then apprentice, and I miss the tick of the locks on the lift. Also, that knife in your ad, it looks like a Morakniv. Those blades ARE NOT stainless steel NOR treated to prevent rust. My old roommate had some for kitchen knives and they eventually developed spots of surface rust so you need to dry them really good and keep it oiled to prevent rusting. But other than that they are absolutely fantastic knives! 👍🏻👍🏻

  • Oh man, that half n half pizza is awesome...

  • to the LAST SECOND

  • Swollen Engine or head, I was right. ta dee ta.😁

  • Keep in mind the labor rate if you worked on the car first or “ Help Them.”

  • Lol. Getting Samcrac's byline wrong (02:54); not once but multiple times - I love it. Aside from that, sorry to hear the news (needing a new engine), that's never a good thing to hear.

  • My mom is Cadillac was the same way blown head gasket but the car runs perfect they took my emission machine and I ran it over the top of the radiator and had more hydrocarbons coming out of there than the exhaust pipe

  • PSS: Bimbos should stick to skate boards! Just put the head on a lapping plate and take the .010 off and get it going. Its got variable timing for goodness sake!

  • Is it real a Super Car when it only has a 3 cylinder turbo engine?

  • This is xxxtanstaions i8 which he died

  • Damn

  • what a time waist listen to all those so called joke

  • Just machine the head and put it back together. It'll run.

  • The same thing happened to my Chevy Vega ..... only everything was warped ...... 😂

    • Same thing with me dude! Didn’t need all the fancy diagnostic equipment though. Started it cold with the radiator cap off and it was surging out. That and the fact it looked like a crop duster driving down the road. Swapped the motor out in like 3 hrs with a couple friends and an old home made tripod style crane with a cheap come-a-long. Ran ok until I sold it a few months later. Those motors were junk but the cars were ok. Had a 305 Monza which was fun but handled like shit. I’d love a rust free hatchback Vega or Astre now. Junkyard LS, auto, and a good rear end for a fun drag car. Even a 2 dr wagon version would be cool?

  • Hylomar.

  • The tweakers dreem car

  • 💋

  • This isn't a car it's a lifestyle 🤔

  • Cut the head the compressed thickness of the head gasket and use two gaskets glued together .

  • what you have a car that someone kept rotting up to 7 grand all the time to show off and warped the head.

  • LMAO Rich with the catfish Tinder contact photo!!!

  • Woah. No one is wearing a mask.

  • Maybe your step mother can do something to make you feel better?

  • whts the name of the end song please? The guitar instrumental

  • Foldable spade == entrenching tool?

  • "This needs a new engine." HAYABUSA ENGINE SWAP!!!

  • Is that really your stepmom

  • BMW= Car Ninja

  • RIP BMW. Should have bought a Yugo.

  • Your machinist is a good machinist. You need to go see a less good machinist who will happily tell you to double-stack the head gasket and torque the hell out of the head bolts. Will it work? Sure. Will it perform like a supercar? LOL, naw...

  • What are you going to do about the property taxes / no worries leaving to texas next month.

  • The intro is gold

  • La swap i8

  • can u please do an update on the Ferrari 360?!

  • well now I get why the dealer wouldn't go here, probably they have seen this all the time.

  • omg dropping the whole frame just to fix a Mini's 3 cylinder, dealer costs must be crazy. This car is definitely a no-go second-hand.

  • I've seen them blown like that before no symptoms drove fine just overheats. I see it more common when heads aren't milled (and aren't true anymore) before being reinstalled.

  • That spade is a copy of the german military spade design, and it wasn't designed to only penetrade the ground ;)

  • Is that a rx7 at 12:51 to the right
