  • Yo the intro was hilarious

  • I keep telling people, never buy European cars especially BMW. You're lucky to have access to such good mechanics. Now buy Asian or Asian/US cars and save millions

  • I need to ship my car to you soon. Please help this comment get to him.

  • To be honest those cylinder engines are just a dumb decision by BMW they could of gone for a inline 4 and have a true sport mode that unlocked all its power at the cost of fuel saving

  • and THIS is why labor is so much when you take a car into a shop people!

  • Steven = Kevin Hart

  • Labor was only $5000. That’s not bad.

  • And right here is the problem with these hybrid cars, just way too complex and expensive to fix, a normal person would be unlikely to be able to pay the kinda costs involved and would get rid of the car 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • How much did u pay

  • Oh man, superb intro.....😂🤣💀

  • Timing bed

  • So he spent total of??????

  • No body gonna know a ting about it!

  • I am wondering how much they paid from Auction for this. Anybody knows ?

  • Someone sayd that if u can afford to pay the going price for the car without discounts etc. U can also afford to get it fixed for 10 grand if needed. But its great to see u got it fixed for the $6000 dlrs u paid. 😀

  • Coulda just got step mom to do an only fans and paid for a new i8 🙄

  • This car seems kinda to new. To be needing a h.gasket. But you made it happen👍💪😎.

  • Steven is a legend now.

  • Job well done guys, the dealers are too lazy today to do proper fault finding, if the fault does not show up on the diagnostic machine, they just change parts, not mechanics anymore, just new part fitters

  • OK. One little flaw with your posts: Viewing order. TY is not necessarily showing your follow-up videos in proper order, so I'm having to pay attention to the posting dates after clicking a link. I'm not seeing these from your channel, YT suggested the first one, and then I'm finding the rest in the suggested videos to the right. Perhaps put "1/4" or such on the titles?

  • It sounded like a super old boat the first time it fired 😂😂

  • They see me... Rollin

  • Given that the head can be re-machined to a certain point, does BMW offer different thicknesses of replacement head gaskets? Yours was a 0.3mm ~0.012" which by the cast in machining indicator limit wasn't approached.

  • Where do you get such melodic music from? btw BMW i8 is my dream car. I am currently driving a 1999 Steel Blue Metallic BMW 3 Series 328i Convertible, that I had to replace the engine and drive train, due to overheating. The last owner used tons of stop leak instead of properly fixing the leak and it instantly overheated after driving it for 4 years.

  • gas cars...

  • Great Job Steven. It's shocking, that the dealer wasn't able to repair the car.

  • I said it before, modern high tech cars do not disassemble well!

  • No that new sound is a true sport car sound

  • The steadfast shock markedly tame because skin biochemically open before a funny knickers. victorious, blushing share

  • That sexy stepmom...makes my gums itch

  • That's cute that you brought Rich in right at the end, to take the car back to the auction!! He needs the work.

  • who's that woman bro pls someone respond lol im reffering to his "stepmom"

  • I know where to take my BMW if in trouble... :)

  • Way back i told you it was the head gasket. Why is the engine management light on? And a tyre sensor is reporting low pressure!

  • Awesome Mechanic man. Dedicated Bamm.

  • You say for Euro cars that

  • It looks like the plastic film hasn't been peeled on the dash yet, lol.

  • Sell it while it's good.

  • I guess I am just to old, but I cannot imagine anyone working on an overheating engine and not checking the cylinder compression first.

  • You always make it.

  • Props 👌 your 💅stepmom 💅 has prevented me from choking a bit** on numerous occasions 🤭 instead i chocked the chicken 🐔 💪🤭

  • I just knew there were some "extra parts" lying around, the very first moment that car refused to start!

  • Canada never had slaves, yesssss this is exactly what I said last video!!! I am not surprised that BMW makes a thicker gasket

  • their is check engine light

  • How dose this nigga know Corey chase

  • PS....say "Hi!" to your mom-in-law for me! Is she for real your mom in law?????????????????? I have seen her 'some place'. She does spice up things!

  • I did not look through everything and maybe you are aware....that water pump has a "rubber" or composite impeller. They can and will break off eventually and stop circulation plus clog up the coolant lines. Just saying. American Motor Corporation put these impellers in their 6 cylinder cars and while the car would idle forever without getting hot, just take it around the block and watch the geyser! BTW, they went out of business just after doing this stupid crap.

  • oh shit im glad i found this video, glad you got it fixed properly holy shit dude

  • 7:26 sounds like a volvo penta b23 bout engine

  • Glad you got it going, I hope you gave Steven a bonus, he saved you a boatload of money.

  • I SEE A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON.....

  • Congrats but...man im stickin to older cars. Least i can fix those hah.

  • Awesome dudes, and your audience thought this i8 was hosed. Cheers!

  • Haha congrats man.

  • Caribbean man irie

  • You guys are hilarious. Good content. I subscribe now.

  • Hi Sam it was nice watching you r vedio and your friend Steve who helped you fix it. By the way is it possible to have your no and if you are buying any car from aution and repairing it i can attend your efforts and learn some thing while i am in ORLANDO

  • Seen all the videos on this car thanks for sharing the story it’s been really great seeing it from start to finish 👍

  • Think its time to abandon dealerships

  • Could have done without the attack on the Elizabeth Warren and making a political statement in your video

  • no problem boss, no one gonna know a thing about it ;)

  • I would says buy American but honestly the big 3 make gawdoffel crap these days. It seems to be a global problem with every auto manufacturer.

  • so it was the head gasket! i'm so good :P

  • One month lost use of the lift... plus the labor.

  • If I would be a CEO of BMW, i would hire Sam as a master engineer to train other engineers and add at least 1 if not 2 extra zeros at then end of his current salary! This guy has not only skill set, but also passion to what he is doing.

  • Should have been kobe

  • never ever EVER have something you can fix your own self done at a dealership. shop rate is over a hundred dollars an hour!! so think about it, if it would take you four hours to fix something, thats like, six hundred dollars in labor!! dont take anything you can handle yourself to a shop!!

  • I can see that there’s engine check on the dashboard.

  • "Thanks for the package"

  • Imagine choosing to be a bmw mechanic

  • Don't start a weekend racing hobby. After rebuild and a couple heat cycles you better go back in tightening all connections :) Wouldn't hurt to change the oil and filter after the cam lube has been flushed by hot oil circulation after a few heat cycles.

  • Beautiful series. Glad I was able to watch it all in 1 go!

  • I really enjoyed this journey, and all the details you explained. Subscribed!

    • Awesome, thank you!

  • Little known fact about BMW cars that using the signal lights cause the heads to warp

  • the bill for the shop was most likely out of this world. i mean mechanic did his job basiically keep you there as long as possible. lol

  • I’d much rather replace an engine than pull one, fix the heads. Then install. Some cars may be different, but I doubt it

  • That intro was the best!

  • Awesome awesome! Wanna hear something funny. Watching you pull that motor reminded me of pulling the motor from a Pontiac Fiero, because it is EXACTLY the same procedure.

  • the reason dealers especially prefer to swap engines then replace the gasket is because on average its cheaper. between the fact the engine is technically cheaper for them, combine with the time it took/takes to just pull the engine to replace the gasket, add in any other "hidden issues" or like this happened where 1 little thing stops you

  • All that for a head gasket? The fact that it was continuously overheating related to a blown head gasket. It shouldn't have taken that long to figure it out. LOL I had a Ford, it was literally the same problem.

  • 16,000 in labor. 250 parts. On lift one month.

  • What a great mechanic... nice work

  • Really enjoyed this series!

  • 7:40 - That sound of old British river vessel

  • Steven 👏👏👏

  • Leave the Mechanic alone for a half hour and I’ll have it figured out

  • Oh the dealer will use the thicker head gasket it when it's a warranty and BMW is paying the tab

  • How is having just the head taken off the engine equals to having the engine taken completely apart? Oh I know only is Samcrac's world does removing a part from a engine equals to taking a engine completely apart. All kidding aside hope it all works out for you.

  • Lucky that wrong valve timing didn't crash a valve into a piston.

  • F*ck the car, More footage of stepmom please!!

  • I really enjoyed your experience in getting this car back running. I hope you ran it by the dealer and rubbed it in that you didnt need a new engine. I really dislike dealers that are crooked

  • Will never last head will go again never the same after head gasket gone head 3 different cars with head gaskets gone never bother with them

  • 1 mill in labour costs.. mission accomplished tbh im happy for him lol

  • Yea I am doing an engine. A lot of labor involved. Instagram Eurotech8

  • Ive owned 3 BMW 3 series and 7 Blown head gaskets.

  • When did Doug Demuro start repairing cars ?

  • Honest question: Wouldn't a cylinder pressure test have shown a blown head casket?

    • @WoodSterZZ Ah, ok. Thats why I ask. Never done it myself

    • @VicToMeyeZR compression testers only compare cylinder to cylinder. Each brand of tester reads a different value and when you lengthen the pipe with a spacer for deep spark plugs that also effects the reading. Due to this they aren't calibrated instruments and are only used for comparison

    • @WoodSterZZ you might not see a difference in pressure, but surely they would know what it should be?

    • not if its even across all 3 cyl

  • Man I wish I could take my X5M to Steven! What a guy! Rough commute from Colorado though.

  • Glad to see he fixed the car. Great series.

  • How did you get Cory Chase ? You are my hero.
