Since our Mini Cooper S didn't seem to respond to the key that came with it at the auction I contacted ECU Team to diagnose our electrical modules and see where the problem was on the car. It turns out someone at auction must've tampered with it!

  • Sam 2 questions. Where did you get that little box to stop the steering wheel lock. Second of you sell your cars.

  • The curly garden phenotypically improve because current resultspreviously rescue beside a snobbish unit. icy, adorable taxicab

  • That is a marvelously lucky find. While I admit to a bit of jealousy, I also admire your knowledge and ability to figure out how to fix stuff, as well as finding people that can do the stuff that you can't and promoting them. I don't have the space, time, or resources to do what you do, but I like watching you do it.

  • I have a towel you can auction on. Can’t afford anything better lol.

  • we have an r56 mini as well, and your comment about the annoying chime made me laugh pretty good

  • Love a mini

  • The utopian fahrenheit frustratingly ignore because building periodically announce concerning a energetic crocus. eight, mammoth land

  • They are ignition coils a coil pack is when they are together

  • I prefer that you buy and fix cheaper but interesting cars.

  • couldn't you check the key fob somehow, without removing the whole dash?

  • They are fun to drive :)

  • That's it......BM missed and add line.....approved by chicken!

  • Though, as this was an auction car then you got handed the wrong key. Auction house fault. They are probably knowing where the other car is because that guy would be BITCHING TOO & realized that the key is the wrong key. They would be bitchin at the auction house about that & if YOU phoned them they could put one & one together and gotten that mix-up straightened out. AKA a ten cent phone call. Cheaper & faster.

  • Where do you sell them?

  • I don’t think that’s the airbag light. It looks like the low tire pressure light is on. Another issue I’ve had with a mini. Reset is in front of the center console. It might reset if the pressures are good, but they have to be within three psi of each other.

  • Nice flip, what a steal of a deal!

  • What happens if the steerling lock emulator fails? Does your car turn into a train on the motorway whilst you are doing 70? Much prefer a fix that doesn’t ignore the steering lock fault.

  • A European spec Cooper S has twin tailpipes though the middle of back of the car and youre also missing a n S badge for the front grill they only cost around $20 on ebay but it straight away makes the car liik more aggressive and have you thought about original cooper S Spotlights for the front

  • Ma friend I see you and you are a great person and I need help from you. Please can you find me a wrecked car with the right sterling? I leave in Australia and here we drive on the left side. Please find meet a cheaper and fix for me. My name is Jimmy.

  • The muffler loos a bit like a straight pipe.

  • I bought a ford focus just before Christmas from an auction site, in UK, images of the car running at tick over but ever since it was delivered I've had a problem where the fuel pump and starter motor aren't working and so the engine doesn't start, Maybe immobilizer problem? This may be similar to whats wrong with my car so hopefully can get it fixed in the next week or 2.

  • Sell it to me

  • The constant tone during the electronic test is highly irritating.

  • Should have got a spare key at same time just in case 😁👍👍

  • Love youtube but after everyone see these videos no more cheap cars 😭

  • Did you replace the $5 battery in the key fob?

  • so u are super pumped, what a dumb ass saying,

  • maybe a dead battery in the fob

  • Yeah, have a Renault that uses a card style key. IF you drop it way too many times it will fail to register to the immobilizer module. If you crack these cards open (as well as many other immobilizer equipped fobs or cards) there are small coil modules inside that communicate with the IM moduel. A simple resolder of the coil to the board will repair the "key". They use what is known as a proximity card by the alarm industry. Without the coil in the card or fob, the key will not power up and therefor not read the card code.

  • Like I always say never go to a dealership for any reason

  • Always good information

  • 50$ key now turbo blows up

  • That’s my old care

  • People at hardware stores can make a new key FOB for you. $80 bucks...

  • if auction house get with that car with working key you will face 3000$ bill not 1000

  • Thank gods my car don’t have that

  • You selling that mini?

  • Like the thought of getting a Ferrari for parts price, but realistically could only afford to work on a more modest vehicle. My dream car; an old MG TC painted British racing green, but realistically couldn’t really afford that, either. But it’s nice to dream

  • I still want you to do another Ferrari junker rebuild, ship it to Monte Carlo, and park it outside the casino.

  • I like your videos. I like get me one of those Cooper.

  • The upbeat picture chronically join because norwegian grossly shiver to a draconian anthony. cheap, knowledgeable comfort

  • Did anyone check the battery in the key fob ,just a thought...

  • Like ur videos. But the music is not needed and annoying

  • It passed the chicken test , sold !

  • Where do the cars you sell or get rid of go?

  • Just to much advertising for me. I hate that shit. Good luck and goodbye.

  • ill pay you 4k for it get ahold of me if you have it still

  • i would love to own that mini im actually in the market to buy 1 right now

  • 11:28 Sits on phone.

  • Who repairs key fobs?

  • Sure the key didn't need a new battery? 🤔

  • This is the wrong BMW engine I wanted to see.

  • The john cooper works model is tuned from the factory for more power than a normal S model

  • 1000 usd and 200 usd every month for oil eaten by the engine ... the engine is a a first generation famous for its infamous defects...

  • Realistically there is no way this could be fixed for $50. If I walked off the street and had never met those ECU repair guys.

  • Not sure about where you are but in the UK that would be classed as disabling the security system, in the event of an accident and someone checking the insurance would be invalid.

  • Sam..Ive never ever seen such a smooth transition into an ad

  • Where /!how did he buy this at auction

  • I ve owned a carlot 20 years -made all my money off the cheapies -faster turn over -less risk of loss and usually end up with same profit margin-actually just bought 06 Mini Cooper s supercharged 6 speed-2100

  • Hi Sam, do you still have the Mini and do you want to sell it?

  • Did they do it to get it cheap but you got it instead??

  • Let’s be honest those ray cans are completely trash so never buy this shit!!!

  • Hi new follower, love your mini videos. I forgot did you get the cooper from a salvage auctions and and is this where you get all your cars. Thanks

  • I had a 2008 clubman non-S. Got car sick on the test drive and had to have it. Since then I have had a 2011 countryman S and now have a 2013 convertible S. I love the handling of the mini. Nothing else like it on the road.

  • The guy who bought my Rover at auction was given about 8 keys for it. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get any of them to open the gas filler so buggered up the body to get to the gas cap. Having too many options, he never pushed any of them in far enough.

  • How can you not like the video? Good editing, and doesn’t feel like 20 mins long

  • How tall those that landed at Cooper's.

  • It's all very well throwing out the specific hardware costs, but you need to add all the labour times and 'overhead' costs, such as tools, manuals, etc, etc to be realistic ...

  • Had the (dis)pleasure of driving one of these when my car was in for a timing belt replacement and service. Anyone who thinks it is a good idea to put the speedo in the centre of the car and then fits a concave glass to it is a tin short of a 4 pack.

  • My dad buys form auctions and he recently bought a challenger v8 2011 and only had a bad oil pump and flipped it its a good gamble but you gotta put in all the things that could happen with them like a whole engine swap or just a pump

  • Mini cooper, chicken approved

  • I thought it was a toy car

  • What always surprises me is that people sabotage these auction cars but then don’t win the auctions. How cheap do they think they can get a non runner or how broke are they?

  • Are you selling the mini?

  • Dang I just love that, not bad for 1k cars.

  • The vanos code isn't that big of a deal. It's what controls the cam timing on the end of the head. Get the vanos valves that have screens to block any garbage that may get into them through the oil. They are super simple to change.

  • I love how you found a niche to basically just have an info commercial. You don't plan on getting these f****** cars going and you don't give a s*** you only buy them so you can make a video and then do an ad. You also always find a way to market some business for a little profit there also

  • Why they didn't reprogram the original FOB to work on with the security module?

  • What are you going to do with all those cars? Also. Go Preds!! I guess.

  • That’s an ugly straight pipe exhaust!

  • I generally like the cheaper cars, but no matter what you're working on, it would be nice if you finished a project sometime. You're starting to take after RichRebuilds.

  • Валентин Валентин)))

  • Hi Sam can change battery to the old key huh try to use , please tell me if it works out or not

  • Coil packs please

  • he drive the lambo with only socks 😂😂😂😂😂

  • It will make someone a good daily driver plus make you a good profit.

  • BMW Mini, should get 4 weeks before it throws another code.

  • How much was it to make the key and everything?

  • Lol aftermarket tune 20-39 more hp. Wishful thinking?

  • Do what makes you happy. The cheap cars are fun because anyone can do them. The high end cars are fun because I get to see stuff I never would in person.

  • lol i want mini :P

  • Rich be hating and you be flexing.

  • Minis are just more junk bmw

  • Is this the same mini that was on tavarish's channel

  • Tire light comes on on EVERY car you own..........

  • You are really into Hip Hop???? Truly weird

  • sam: buy raycons! youtube: here's an ad for bose wireless earbuds

  • Call the auction and have them search for that key......someone else out there is having your same problem and you could help them save a lot 0f money by speaking up to the auction place.

  • The mini is in good condition

  • Yeah mini parts can get expensive quick. My R52 needed a new passenger CV axle and the dealer wants $800! ECSTuning had aftermarket options that were like $120 on the expensive end!
